Description
This show stopping, high yield, pepper, will add wonderful color and texture to your garden. Great for adding heat to salsas, chilies and hot sauces!
When transplanting pepper seedlings, you should space them 18 to 24 inches apart, depending on the variety and whether you’re growing them in a pot or in the ground.
In the ground
- Space plants 18 to 24 inches apart
- Space rows 36 to 48 inches apart
- Dig a hole deep enough to cover the root ball
- Ensure the top of the root ball is level with the ground
- 8-12 hours of direct sunlight per day. The pepper can turn purple if in prolonged direct light.
- Water thoroughly and mulch to retain moisture
In a pot
- Use a container that’s at least 12 inches across and has good drainage holes
- Select a pot that holds at least 5 gallons of potting mix

- Use garden stakes and twine to support the plants so they don’t fall over in storms or heavy wind
