The Mocha Swirl Pepper is a deliciously sweet snacking type pepper. It produces an abundance of striped fruits that ripen green-and-white to rich chocolate-red. Compact plants are great for smaller areas and containers.
These are productive plants and grow 2 to 3 feet tall, depending on the variety.
Transplanting
When transplanting pepper seedlings, you should space them 24 to 36 inches apart, depending on the variety and whether you’re growing them in a pot or in the ground.Â
In the groundÂ
- Space plants 24 to 36 inches apart
- Space rows 36 to 48 inches apart
- Dig a hole deep enough to cover the root ball
- Ensure the top of the root ball is level with the ground
- 6-12 hours of direct sunlight per day
- Water thoroughly and mulch to retain moisture
In a pot
- Use a container that’s at least 12 inches across and has good drainage holes
- Select a pot that holds at least 5 gallons of potting mixÂ
